Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a low budget movie from 1975. It depicts the Arthurian tale of the Holy Grail with a twist. Or, more accurately, the Arthurian tale of the grail, crushed by a tornado and reassembled in a new, weird way. Monty Python’s special sense of humour is a great element throughout the film where things like breaking the fourth wall and completely illogical solutions are common, and give a unique effect to the movie.
There are so many great points in this movie and so few bad points. From start to end, it’s a hilarious show. There is little I can say that does justice to the movie more then ‘Watch it’. I’ve seen in several times and the jokes still make me burst out in laughter. The heroes conquer their enemies and finish their missions by bravely running away, the Black Knight nevber giving up and ending up bleeding on King Arthur as his last attack, The Knights who say Ni. There are so many memorable jokes and such a great atmosphere, thanks to the low budget and the general Monty Python style of humour. You will not regret seeing the film.
Mony Python and the Holy Grail has been considered one of the best comedies of all time, and I can only agree. If you haven’t seen it yet, do so. Now.
